The Flexi digital thermometer is a medical device designed for quick and precise temperature readings in the mouth, under the arm, and rectally, suitable for both adults and children.
One of its key features is the memory function that stores the last measured temperature, which is useful for tracking temperature trends. With GIOflexi, you avoid issues with broken glass or mercury hazards.

ORAL MEASUREMENT
Place the thermometer sensor in one of the positions marked with the “√” sign as shown in the diagram for about 1 minute. To improve measurement accuracy, keep lips closed for 5 minutes before taking the reading. The normal temperature range using this method is 35.7-37.3℃ (96.3℉ – 99.2℉).
RECTAL MEASUREMENT
Apply petroleum jelly to the thermometer sensor for easier insertion. Gently insert the sensor about one centimeter (less than half an inch) into the rectum and hold still for approximately 1.5 minutes. The normal temperature range using this method is 35.2℃ – 36.7℃ (95.4℉ – 98.1℉).
UNDERARM MEASUREMENT
From a medical perspective, this method does not guarantee accurate measurement. Dry the armpit with a towel, place the thermometer sensor under the arm, and hold the arm tightly against the body for about 1.5 minutes. The normal temperature range for this method is 35.2℃ – 36.7℃ (95.4℉ – 98.1℉).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Clean or dip the sensor in ethyl alcohol for disinfection.
- Press the On/Off button. The display will show for 2 seconds, and you will hear a beep. The last measured temperature will display for about 2 seconds. Next, the display will show an auto-test temperature of 37℃ (98.6℉) and then display Lo℃ (Lo℉).
- Place the sensor in the mouth, rectum, armpit, etc.
- Once the measurement is complete, the ℃ (℉) symbol will stop flashing on the display, followed by a 10-second buzzer sound indicating the measured temperature. If the ℃ (℉) symbol stops flashing but the sensor remains in place, temperature readings may continue to rise. Remove the thermometer when the buzzer sounds for about 1-2 minutes.
If the temperature is below 32℃ (90.0℉), the display will show Lo℃ (Lo℉). If the temperature is very high, it will display Hi℃ (Hi℉), indicating a need for immediate medical consultation.
If the reading is <37.8℃ (100.0℉), the beep will sound “Bi-Bi-Bi–Bi”; if the reading is >=37.8℃ (100.0℉), the beep will be higher frequency: “Bi-Bi-Bi—– Bi-Bi-Bi—–Bi-Bi-Bi.”
- The thermometer automatically turns off after about 10 minutes to save energy. To extend battery life, turn off the thermometer manually after use by pressing the On/Off button.
- Dispose of exhausted batteries and the thermometer in accordance with applicable regulations.
